Volunteer Opportunities
Skate Rental
Assist at the front counter passing out rental skates during
times of open skate. At the end of the session the skates need to be wiped off,
sanitized and placed back in their proper location.
Skate Guard
During periods of open skating, it is important to have a
little supervision on the ice. Skate guards will skate the whole period seeking
cooperation with the open skate rules, able to seek help if someone is injured
and keeping the flow moving smoothly.
Concession
Concession workers
assist behind the concession stand during busy times. Workers will receive a
briefing on health regulations and arena procedures. They will not be
responsible for handling any money.
Door Guard
During events, the door guard will stand near the emergency exits to insure that
persons enter only thru the proper doors
Ticket Takers and Sellers
During paid events and tournaments, ticket takers collect tickets at the door
and check wristbands. Ticket sellers sell the tickets and secure the wristbands.
Bleacher Cleaners
Assistance is needed at the end of special events to help clean up the
bleachers. This usually goes quick with a few passes picking up the bottles and
cans and any cups with liquid in them. An arena employee cleans up the remainder
with a leaf blower.
