 Northern Lights Arena opened as a result of many dedicated people who began MPAC Multi-Purpose Arena Coalition, in 1995, and the support of the community. Northern Lights Arena is a  top-notch facility that offers open ice skating, drop-in  hockey, figure skating , and is home ice for the Alpena Wildcats, Alpena Hockey Association, Alpena Independent Hockey, Alpena Figure Skating Club, Alpena Speed Skating Club, Alpena Senior Men's Hockey League, and Junior A Hockey Team Alpena Ice Diggers.  
 
 We invite you to come and see this great addition to our community.  Come by to skate, take a walk or run around the free indoor track, see a game or practice, see one of the many concerts held every year or just stop by and check out all this great new facility has to offer.
